Start With the Simple Stuff
- Replace the remote and keypad batteries
- Make sure the opener is plugged in and has power
- Check that the wall button works (rules out the remote)
- Confirm the lock/vacation switch is off
Sensor & Motor Issues
If the door reverses or won’t close, look at the safety sensors near the floor — they may be misaligned or dirty. If the motor hums but nothing moves, the drive gear or spring may have failed.
